HA NOI (VNS)- HCM City and the Military teams successfully defended their titles in the National Table Tennis Stars Championships, which ended on Saturday in Can Tho City.
In the women’s singles final, Mai Hong My Trang of HCM City, the local No 1, won 3-0 over Nguyen Thi Nga of Ha Noi to became champion.
Trang along with her other teammates also helped HCM City to overcome the Public Security Ministry 3-2 in the women’s team final.
In the men’s singles, Le Tien Dat of the Military Team beat Doan Ba Tuan Anh of Hai Duong 4-1.
In the men’s team, the Military also easily swept Ha Noi away 3-0.
The four-day competition attracted more than 70 athletes from eight teams competing in both the men’s and women’s categories. – VNS
