On September 1, Mr. Doan Van Quang, 37, in Thoi Binh district, Ca Mai province took the body of his 10 -year-old daughter – Doan Nhu Thuy to home for burial. Ca Mau Police are hunting the perpetrator.

According to doctors of the Ca Mau General Hospital, Quang and his wife suffered from minor burns on the back, shoulder and abdomen. They were temporarily allowed to leave the hospital to hold funeral for their daughter, who died on the night of August 31 because of the burns that covered up to 90 percent of the body.

According to Quang, in the early morning of August 29, when his family was asleep, he and his wife suddenly woke up because of the dog barking. When the couple just sat up on the bed, they saw one hit the door, run into the house to throw a flaming torch into the net and then threw one onto the bed where their daughter named Thuy was sleeping.

Hearing screaming, neighbors came to stamp the fire and took Quang, his wife and the child to the hospital. The three other daughters slept in the next bed so they were not burned.

Quang told the police that four days before the incident, his family quarreled with a neighbor over land disputes.
