HA NOI (VNS)— Patients who received duplicated results from blood-tests at Hoai Duc Hospital in Ha Noi’s Hoai Duc District between July 2012 and May 2013, have been offered free re-checks starting from Tuesday this week.
Seven health officials from the Ha Dong, Saint Paul and Thanh Nhan hospitals have been appointed to support Hoai Duc Hospital with medical examinations and treatments, while the investigation continues.
So far, 200 of the 1,000 patients have gone for the test. The check-up service will likely be open additional days to help patients.
Hoai Duc Hospital has been denounced for duplicating 1,000 blood-test results for up to 2,000 patients.
Sources of the revelation have been kept confidential and will receive rewards. The sources are also being provided with protection by the authorities. — VNS
