BA RIA-VUNG TAU (VNS)— The 10th National Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology kicked off in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on Thursday, with the peaceful use of atomic energy at the top of the agenda.
The two-day event was jointly held by the Viet Nam Atomic Energy Society, the Viet Nam Atomic Energy Institute (VAEI) and the Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial Department of Science and Technology.
More than 300 domestic and foreign delegates took part in the conference, including researchers and managers from atomic power groups in Japan, the Republic of Korea and France.
The delegates exchanged research outcomes and discuss measures to increase co-operation, thus promoting the application of nuclear science and technology in Viet Nam in line with the country’s long-term strategy of nuclear energy application for peaceful purposes.-VNS
