Thousands holidaymakers in Hue City on National Day

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thua Thien-Hue Province, the number of holidaymakers to Hue City on occasion of National Day are estimated at 60,000, from which foreign visitors account for one third.


On September 2, historical monuments in Hue will be open free of charge for all Vietnamese visitors from 7am to 5pm.


Most holidaymakers are attracted to the Royal Palace of Hue, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the Royal Tombs.


In related news, the People’s Committee of Dong Thap Province said that since the beginning of this year, the province has attracted more than 1.1 million domestic and foreign visitors, up 35 percent compared to the same period last year.


Revenue from tourisms touched VND180 billion, achieving 74 percent of this year’s target plan.


The province has developed many attractive tourist spots, such as Tram Chim National Park, Gao Giong Eco-Village, Xeo Quyt Relic Site, Go Thap Relic Site, Sa Dec Flower Village, and Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site.
