PANO – The Southern branch of the People’s Army Publishing House, in conjunction with the Department of Politics under the Navy, presented books to troops on DK1 platform on September 26th.
The books include “The Forced War” memoir and “The furthermost Border” stories written by Colonel Nguyen Van Hong, former Corps 4′s Deputy Commander and Chief of the Staff, and “Three times in Cambodia” by late General Phung Dinh Am, former Deputy Commander of 479 Front and former Deputy Head of Delegation of Vietnamese Military Experts in Cambodia.
These books not only praise the victories and heroic sacrifices of Vietnamese volunteer-soldiers serving international obligation in Cambodia, but also recall many emotional stories of people and soldiers of the two countries during the resistance war for national salvation.
Besides, these valuable documents provide people with deeper understanding about the Southwest Border War, as well as the concept of “Helping a Friend is helping yourself” to contribute to promoting ties between Vietnam and Cambodia.
