PANO – The General Department of Defence Industry on September 25th reviewed 10 years of implementing Resolution 152 of the Central Military Commission on continuing renewing and promoting mass mobilization of armed forces in the new context, in the presence of Lieutenant-General Dao Duy Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics.
Over the past ten years, units under the General Department of Defence Industry worked closely with local authorities to promote military and civilian relations and create jobs for people in localities where they are stationed, as well as maintain social order.
Especially, the general department mobilized 21,000 labour days and VND 27 billion in cash to help local residents construct public structures. Besides, its troops also raised VND 40 billion to support the needy.
At the ceremony, the unit presented merit certificates to its 10 groups gaining outstanding achievements in mass mobilization work, and also asked the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence to commend two of them.
