14th Informal ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Environment and related environmental events

Nguyen The Dong, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam Environment Administration represented for Vietnam attended the meeting .


​From May 23 to 27 of September, the 14th Informal ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Environment and related environmental events were held in Surabaya, Indonesia. Dr.

The meeting discused and unanimously passed many important environmental issues in the ASEAN region, such as Nature Conservation and Biodiversity, Environmental Education, Environmental Sustainability City; Mmultilateral Environmental Conventions, etc.


In particular, participants welcomed that Vietnam had chaired and organized the the 4th East Asia Summit on Sustainable City of Environment in Hanoi on 3 May 2013 .
