According to a statement released by MetLife’s media department, the signing ceremony took place in New York City following a memorandum of understanding signed during the official visit of State President Truong Tan Sang to the U.S. in July this year. The event this time was graced by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
BIDV MetLife will be based in Hanoi City with a chartered capital of VND1 trillion. The enterprise is expected to start operating in 2014.
BIDV MetLife and BIDV will also join hands so that the bank will be the sole distributor of its life insurance products via its networks.
