(VOV) – The official memorial service for General Vo Nguyen Giep took place at 7am on October 13 after the first national funeral day, with thousands of people paying their last respects to the General.

Among those present at the service were Party, State, Government, National Assembly, and military leaders and representatives of diplomatic corps in Hanoi.
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong delivered a funeral oration, and they then observed a minute’s silence in memory of General Giap.
