(VOV) – Crowds of people lined Hanoi’s major streets to watch the motorcade carrying General Vo Nguyen Giap’s coffin passing by.

Many people even spent a sleepless night hoping to say farewell to their beloved and revered General.
It was a somber occasion in the capital Hanoi, people overcame with sadness and regret as they gathered to see the final image of the General’s coffin.
Thousands struggled to hold back the tears clutching on to photos of General Giap.
People raised their hands to bid farewell to the General.
“I believe that General Giap will live forever in Vietnamese people’s hearts,” a citizen said.
