The delegation of Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Council led by Mr. Vo Phien worked with leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment, Finance and Construction on monitoring the implementation of the development investment program in 6 mountainous districts of Quang Ngai province.
As reported by the DPI, in the period 2006-2012, 110 investment projects were approved and implemented in six mountainous districts with the total investment of VND 4,280 billion.
The total construction projects in the mountainous area reached 696/1,118 projects, with total investment capital of VND 4,200 billion. However, of these, 10 projects with VND 42 billion advanced capital had not been performed by the contractors.
At the meeting, DPI also explained some problems and shortcomings on investment projects from the program 30a, the construction situation of ethnic boarding schools in Ba To district and projects of water supply and sanitation in mountainous schools.
Speaking at the meeting, Phien suggested DPI in coordination with other relevant departments, agencies and localities to immediately overcome the limitations and shortcomings of the construction investment in the mountainous districts and have appropriate investment solutions efficiently in the future.
