Despite the global economic and financial recession, Vietnamese people unite behind the Communist Party and State to overcome difficulty, achieve reasonable growth, and maintain political stability and national defence, he said.
He expressed his belief under the clear-sighted leadership of the King, National Assembly, Senate and the royal government, Cambodian people will surmount difficult times to maintain national stability and development for peace, independence, and social progress.
Both sides placed strong emphasis on a conference of the fatherland fronts of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia to be held in Laos in 2013, and said they will attend the meeting.
The same day, Min Khin was received by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, who is also President of the VFF Central Committee.
Nhan noted with satisfaction the close and effective cooperation between the VFF and CUFNCD and affirmed Vietnam always stands side by side with Cambodia in its national construction and development.
The VFF and CUFNCD should encourage people living along their border localities to support each other in building a common border of peace and friendship, he said.
He asked the two fronts to increase regular exchanges to share experience in gathering people from all walks of life to maintain social order, protect the environment, preserve national identity and assist each other in poverty reduction and economic development.
