Recent flooding had claimed the lives of 46 victims and 74 others in the central and Central Highlands region as of the morning of November 19.
Flood has caused great losses for the central and Central Highlands regions According to the Central-Central Highlands Centre for Flood Control and Prevention five others are still missing.
Among the provinces, Binh Dinh had the highest of fatalities, with 18, followed by Quang Ngai with 15 and Khanh Hoa with 2. Quang Ngai Province saw the highest number of injuries, with 73. The flood also claimed one injury in Danang.
Meanwhile, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Gia lai and Danang had one missing each.
Floods also destroyed 410 houses, damaged 1,271 ones and put 425,573 under water.
By late November 19, houses in Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces had been safe from flooding. Some routes in Quang Ngai have been damaged, causing traffic problems. In Binh Dinh Province some communes are still under water.
Water levels at rivers from Thua Thien-Hue to Phu Yen provinces are expected to go down today (November 19); while, other rivers in the central and Central Highlands regions are slower to recede.
