The 2013 Festival of masses art performances and sports and photo exhibition on communes building new rural areas in the Northern Region held in Hai Duong wrapped up on the afternoon of 6 November.
Hai Duong team ranked first with 10 gold, eight silver, and 12 bronze medals. Bac Giang team came second with eight gold, seven silver, and three bronze medals. Ha Nam finished third with four gold, four silver, and seven bronze medals.
Mr. Vuong Duy Bao, Deputy Director of the Local Culture Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) said the festival was a success.
All of the teams cared about developing the participating programs and items, sticking close to the people’s work and production life; studied and collected folk and national culture to stage items, helping the festival be more imbued with the regional cultural identity.
The sport matches took place excitingly, attracting crowded people’s cheer and encouragement and contributing to promoting the development of the local movement of masses gymnastics and sports.
