Representatives of the provincial Preventive Medicine Center and Hong Duong Co., Ltd. present iodized salt to students
The provincial Center for Preventive Medicine, Hai Duong Media Center for Health Education, Hai Duong city Medical Center, and Hong Duong Co., Ltd. on the morning of 30 October held a rally in response to the Day the entire people buy and use iodized salt (2 November) at Viet Hoa Primary School.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huy Nhanh, Director of the Hai Duong provincial Center for Preventive Medicine, the national target project for prevention and control of iodine deficiency disorders in 2005 announced the elimination of iodine deficiency nationwide. However, the risk of iodine deficiency has recently returned.
Therefore, the meeting in response to the Day the entire people buy and use iodized salt was organized with the aim of propagating to raise the people’s awareness about the importance of iodized salt to the health of everybody, especially future generations.
At the end of the event, representatives of the provincial Preventive Medicine Center and Hong Duong Co., Ltd. presented iodized salt packets to the delegates and students.
