VietJetAir’s first airlift of relief arrives in Philippines

PANO – The first airlift by the Vietnamese low-cost carrier VietJetAir, carrying over 5 tons of relief aid, landed in the Philippine capital city of Manila on November 18th.

The relief, including canned foods, mosquito nets and blankets, was handed over to non-governmental organizations for delivery to super-typhoon Haiyan victims.

The second relief airlift will depart from Vietnam on November 21st.


The airline is also offering to bring home free of charge Vietnamese nationals in the Philippines who want to return home.
