BINH THUAN (VNS)— Individuals and organisations in the south-central coastal province of Binh Thuan will not be allowed to trade, transport or process certain local shellfish – including clams and scallops – for four months.

The move aims to ease the consequences of overfishing by local people.

As of September 30, the province expects to completely remove nets used to catch lobsters in some places in order to ensure safety for tourists and boats. — VNS
