HA NOI (VNS)— Representatives of Viet Nam and Mongolia discussed agriculture cooperation during the 15th session of the Viet Nam-Mongolia Intergovernmental Committee on Economic, Trade, Scientific and Technological Co-operation in Ha Noi yesterday.
They intended to set up joint ventures in veterinary medicine, animal feed production and organic vegetable farming in Mongolia and pig, poultry and high-yield dairy and cattle farming in Viet Nam.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat and Mongolian Minister of Industry and Agriculture Kh.Battulga also briefed each other on the political and socio-economic situation in their countries.
Phat said Viet Nam could supply rice, fruit, tea and sugar and other farm produce to Mongolia and wished to import animal meat, tanned leather and wool from the country.
Kh.Battulga proposed Vietnamese experts go to his country to select enterprises that could meet Viet Nam’s requirements in these fields. — VNS
