(VOVworld) – The Quang Tri provincial People’s Committee and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) have signed a MoU on their cooperation plan named the “Happiness Program”.
The program witnessed the inauguration of the Quang Tri Vocational School, upgraded by 4.7-million-USD non-refundable aid, and the launching of a storm and flood relief program.
The 3-day event which concluded on Wednesday was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son, South Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Chon Te Chu, local authorities, and 100 volunteers of Vietnam and South Korea.
Son hailed South Korea’s significant support to Quang Tri province, saying the humanitarian program represents bilateral friendship and fine cooperation. He thanked the Korean government for its aid to Vietnam’s localities and called on it to broaden development assistance programs and boost economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
