85 Vietnamese students will attend the 18th World Festival of Youth and Students which will be held in Ecuador’s capital city Quito from December 7-13.
The event is expected to draw the participation of 67 democratic youth organisations and youth deputies from 100 countries and territories.
It brings together progressive youth to share experiences and build the international struggle for peace and justice.
The 18th World Festival of Youth and Students, which promises to be one of the biggest festivals so far, will continue this tradition with a new generation of youth.
At the festival, the Vietnamese delegation will take part in major events, such as organizing a forum called “Vietnam youth in the national process of renewal, construction and defence”, presenting a photographic exhibition on Vietnam and joining the international anti-imperialism tribunal condemning the use of chemicals during wars, that has caused long-term negative impacts on human life.
The Festival is an annual international event jointly organized by the World Federation of Democratic Youth, a left-wing youth organization, and the International Union of Students./.
