Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam proposes a standard for scientific procedures at a conference in Hanoi on January 17.
The conference was held to review last year’s progress in scientific research regarding nuclear and atomic energy.
There needs to be transparency and peer supervision, said Dam. The deputy orders higher pay and extra training to the scientists working on nuclear and atomic energy. The Ministry of Science and Technology in corporation with Education and Training will provide the training.
The conference revealed that 2013 marked a year of progress for the sector, said Dam. A revision in the Science and Technology Law helps facilitate scientific research.
The sector gained three achievements in national programs including the National Product Development Program to 2020, Hi-Tech Product Development Program to 2020 and National Hi-Tech Renovation Program to 2020, said Science and Technology Minister Nguyen Quan.”
