At a meeting with the Vietnamese Association of Historical Sciences recently, the Prime Minister has stressed that it needed to establish the centre of national archives on the sea and islands.
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and the Academy of Social Sciences of Vietnam to study and propose to establish the centre of national archives on the sea and islands under the State Records Management and Archives Department of Vietnam. Accordingly, the Prime Minister assigned the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to cooperate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences and relevant agencies to compile and publish the book of Vietnam’s history. This book will be the official one of the country, of which compile the latest research on the history of Vietnam.
The Minister assigned the Ministry of Education and Training to cooperate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Central Propaganda Department and the relevant research agencies in order to bring the issues of the EastSea and the Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa island into the school books. The school books will match with the Renewing Education Program and School Book Project.
The Ministry of Home Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences proposed to establish the center of national archives on the sea and islands under the State Records Management and Archives Department of Vietnam.
