Accordingly, another nearly EUR1.8 million will be added to the implementation of the project.

The project will also be expanded to 5 other districts: Tran Yen and Van Yen districts of Yen Bai province; Phu Yen and Yen Chau districts of Son La province; and Tan Son district of Phu Tho province.

The third phase of the project targets to improve farmers’ income by increasing breeding services and expanding suitable and sustainable breeding development models.

The project, which has been carried out at the National Institute of Animal Sciences under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Phu Tho, Son La and Yen Bai provinces, has focused on applying skills and technological knowledge in raising pigs and poultry in medium- and small-sized breeding farms, helping farmers have better access to breeding services. Under the project, domestic economic accounting and market links have also been increased to raise farmers’ income./.
