(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Coast Guard in coordination with the US Defense ThreatReductionAgency is organizingthe 2nd conference on marine security in Hanoi on Monday.

Major General Nguyen Van Tuong, Political Commissar of the command, said the conference was aimed at enhancing cooperation and information exchange between law enforcement agencies in the sea and relevant agencies, improve the awareness of marine security, and deal with search and rescue, and law enforcement at sea. Delegates said cooperation was a current trend in global security issues, at sea.
