PANO – 15 outstanding athletes and 8 coaches, including those facing disabilities, were honoured in a ceremony on March 27th held in Hanoi.

Among the honoured are swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien, swimming coach Dang Van Tuan, shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh, Vietnam’s No. 1 chess player Le Quang Liem and runner Nguyen Van Lai.
The organizers presented “Creative Youth” Awards to swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien, marksman Hoang Xuan Vinh and chess player Le Quang Liem. Some other athletes and coaches were also presented with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s insignia “For young generation” at the event.
On the occasion, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented certificates of merit to 22 selected individuals.
The ceremony was jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Olympic Committee and the General Department of Sports and Physical Training.
