PANO – The 2014 Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) will get underway at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre in Hanoi between April 3rd and 6th, following the success of the first event last year.
This year’s event will attract about 659 businesses from 22 countries worldwide, an increase of 35 per cent against the 2013 VITM, with nearly 500 booths to introduce their new tourism products and services imbued with their unique cultural identities.
The event also attracts the participation of Vietnam Airlines, VietJetAir and Jetstar Pacific.
According to Mr. Vu The Binh, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association cum Head of the 2014 VITM, over 6,000 tours will be sold at discount prices at the event.
It will focus on speeding up domestic, inbound (foreign visitors come to Vietnam) and outbound (Vietnamese go abroad) tourism types, as well as organize other activities, such as workshops for businesses and specialists in this field.
