HAI PHONG (Biz Hub) — RK Engineering Company Ltd inaugurated its second high-pressure resistance tank, tank top, heatproof material and equipment factory at Dinh Vu Industrial Zone on March 4.
The new plant will be equipped with a modern heat-treatment furnace and press machine.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Kobayashi Taro, representative of the RK Synergy Group, said that with the opening of the factory in the port city of Hai Phong, RK Engineering Co., Ltd has become the biggest member firm of the group. It is also the first Japanese enterprise in Viet Nam to be certified with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards.
This is the second phase of the US$14-million project, after its first plan was launched on March 27, 2012 in the industrial zone. With a capacity of producing 65 tonnes of products per month, the second plant will help raise the total capacity to 100 tonnes of products per month.
There are now more than 50 investors from different countries in the Dinh Vu Industrial Zone with the total investment of $2.2 billion at the end of 2013. In order to attract more investors and ensure a good business environment, the zone has improved its underground power system to provide more stable electricity to customers and expand the waste water treatment system. — VNS
