According to the implementation schedule of 2014 Developing and Issuing Legal documents Program, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) will issue 79 ministry-related legal documents under state management.
Three important draft laws developed, revised and completed this year include the Law on environmental protection, the Law on marine and islands resources and environment and the Law on hydrometeorlogy.
In collaboration with National Assembly’s Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, MONRE explains to and receives supportive and constructive comments from the Committee. It is expected that the completed amended Law on environmental protection will be submitted for National Assembly’s approval at its 7th working session.
Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai received report of the content of the Draft Law on marine and islands resources and environment and directed Vietnam General Department of Sea and Islands to finalize the draft law.
The Law on Hydrometeorlogy has been implemented in practice. At present, MONRE has established Drafting Division, Editorial Division and Technical Division. The evaluation of international experience is emphasized.
In addition, in 2014 MONRE will focus on improving the content of many Decrees relating to the fields of land, geology and minerals to submit to the Government and Prime Minister for future issuance.
