In his official letter, Chairman of PPC has just directed Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with the relevant departments and People’s Committees of districts and city to make plan of organizing activities in response to the World Water Day 2014 in the province (22 March).
The World Water Day of this year with the theme of “Water and Energy” aims to find the management measures to ensure the economic growth and meet human needs through sustainable exploitation of water resources and use energy efficiently towards the green growth economy .
This year’s World Water Day also aims to raise awareness of the international community, government at all levels and the whole of society about water-energy nexus as well as promote the policy dialogue to solve problems related to water-energy linkage. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for managers, businesses, scientists and the community sharing their experiences, models, and solutions in application of synthesis approach method and linking functional agencies for settlement of issues related to water and energy.
To respond to this important event, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has launched many meaningful activities at provincial scale and cities directly under the Central.
