Nhan Dan Online – Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan drew attention to the efforts made by more than 100 outstanding female cultural entrepreneurs to expand their businesses at a reception held in Hanoi today.
The exemplary women are members of the Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Cultural Centre, part of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
The entrepreneurs operate in various industries such as textiles, construction and public health. Their enterprises have generated jobs and stable incomes for thousands of workers.
The businesswomen have not only enriched themselves, their families and the nation as a whole, despite the current economic climate, but have also actively participated in charitable activities, supporting the underprivileged and children with disabilities.
Addressing the reception, Vice President Doan congratulated the female entrepreneurs on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
She emphasised the entrepreneurs’ role in promoting the activity, creativity and work ethic of Vietnamese women to overcome challenges caused by the economic crisis.
Vice President Doan also expressed her hope that the female businesswomen would continue to embody the Vietnamese entrepreneurial spirit and promote the noble virtue of female entrepreneurs in the renovation period.
