(VOVworld) – Vietnam and China destroyed 1,000 kg of drugs Monday in Ningming County, Guangxi provice, which borders Vietnam. The burning, witnessed by both sides’ police and youth organizations, was part of a joint effort to fight cross-border drug smuggling.

Local security official Gao Xiong said the collaboration has helped to improve social order along the border. The campaign also aims to raise youngsters’ awareness of the bad consequences of using drugs.
