The Hanoitimes – It is hoped that Viet Nam and Morocco would boost two-way investment and trade cooperation, said Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at a reception for Secretary General of the Moroccan Party of Progress and Socialism Party (PPS), Mohamed Nabil Benabdallah in Hanoi on April 15.
The Party leader believed thanks to the support and efforts of political parties, including the PPS, the Moroccan Government would gain more successes in its path of national construction and development.
Trong lauded recent positive developments in Vietnam-Morocco relations and expressed hope both countries will introduce appropriate incentives to encourage the two business circles to expand cooperation in various areas, especially in economics, investment and trade.
The guest leader voiced his wish that solidarity, friendship and traditional partnership between the two Parties and nations will go stronger. He also invited the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) to attend the PPS’s ninth National Congress slated for this June. He said he believes with people’s strong support and efforts by political parties in Morocco, including PPS, the Moroccan government will reap greater success in national construction and defence.
For his part, Benabdallah briefed his host on major developments in Morocco and North Africa, as well as operations of the PPS. He hailed Vietnam’s increasing role globally and proposed closer friendship and stronger cooperation between the PPS and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the two countries. He invited the CPV to attend the 9th national congress of the PPS to be held in June 2014.
Earlier, the guest held talks with head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan, during which they discussed ways to expand Viet Nam – Morocco friendly relations through the exchanges of delegations and experience.
