The provincial Department of Planning and Investment in the first 3 months of the year licensed 8 new FDI projects with a total registered capital of USD248 million.
The Dai An Vietnam – Canada International Hospital Co., Ltd. project with a total registered capital of USD225 million is evaluated as the project with the largest registered investment in Vietnam since early this year by the Foreign Investment Agency (Ministry of Planning and Investment).
The project is invested in by a Canadian enterprise with the aim of establishing a general hospital and related medical services in Hai Duong.
According to the Hai Duong Provincial Department of Planning and Investment, in the first three months of the year it licensed eight new FDI projects with a total registered capital of USD248 million, along with the registration to increase capital for six FDI projects with a total additional capital of USD71.4 million.
Thus, the province lured USD319.4 million of both newly-registered and additional capital in the first quarter of the year, up 11.1 times over USD28.6 million in the first three months of 2013.
In the report on FDI attraction in the first three months of the year sent to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Department of Planning and Investment bravely set the goal of attracting and disbursing USD450 million of FDI capital for the whole 2014, including USD300 million of newly-registered capital and USD150 million of additional capital.
FDI capital disbursed in the area is expected to reach USD200 million.
