The People’s Committee of Haiphong city has lately granted the Certificate of Merit for two Finnish water supply and drainage specialists. They are Mr. Antti Nykanen – a Finnish water supply and drainage specialist, team leader ofCounselingand Technical Assistance of the Water and Sanitation Program for Small Towns in Vietnam (WSPST) and Mr Anders Nyman – a water supply and drainage specialist.
These are two individuals who have made significant contributions and active support in the completion of the water supply and drainage projects in the locality, contributing to improving the living environment and livelihood of Haiphong people. As Head ofCounselingand Technical Assistance Group for WSPST (Phase II from 2009 to 2013) financed by the Finnish government, Mr Anti Nykanen has made substantialcontributions to Haiphongthrough the fulfillment of Minh Duc Township Water Drainage Project; Tien Lang Township Water Supply and Drainage Project and An Lao Township Water Supply Project, contributing to improving the living environment and livelihood of locals and developing the socio-economy of the locality.
The city leaders acknowledged the contributions of two Finnish experts in the city’s water supply and drainage area and thanked for the support of the Government of Finland as well as twoexperts in improving the residential quality of life, bringing about better living conditions for the city dwellers, and contributing to the building of Haiphong into a green port city.
