60 km northeast of Tam Ky City, Hoi An is the second city, and a famous tourism hub of the province. Hoi An Ancient Town was recognized, by UNESCO, a world cultural heritage in 1999. Hoi An is considered an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century, an outstanding material manifestation of the fusion of cultures over time in an international commercial port.
Moreover, Hoi An City is endowed with 7 km long nice beach and the charming Cham Islands, which was connected to the world biosphere reserve network in 2008. The City fosters such interesting traditional villages as Kim Bong Carpentry, Tra Que Vegetable, Thanh Ha Pottery, and Thanh Nam Fishing Village. Come here on the 14th of every lunar month so that you can experience a vivid lantern-lit Hoi An Ancient Town under the moonlight.
