Japanese Minister’s visit to Yasukuni enrages China, South Korea

(VOVworld) – Japanese Internal Affairs and Communications Minister Yoshitaka Shindo paid his latest visit to war-linked Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo on Saturday. He described it as “a private matter” which he had freedom to decide. The visit immediately draw protests from neighboring countries.

The official Xinhua News Agency quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei saying a statement that this once again showed the mistaken attitude of the current Japanese Cabinet toward history. The South Korean Foreign Ministry earlier issued a statement denouncing the visit.
