Launching to drop seeds for the renewal of fishery resources

In the morning of April 1st, the General Fisheries (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) in collaboration with Phu Yen’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Phu Yen province held the Launching ceremony of dropping fishery-seeds to renew aquatic resources in Song Cau town and Song Hinh district.

After the launching ceremony, the General Fisheries dropped 800,000 tiger-shrimp seeds in Xuan Dai bay (Song Cau town); the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development dropped 70kg of breeding-carps of all kinds, size from 4cm to 7cm in the central lake of Hai Rieng townlet and La Bach lake (Song Hinh district).


The above sources of shrimps, fish were nursed, bred and provided by the General Fisheries and businesses in Phu Yen province to renew fisheries resources in the localities; thereby, calling on organizations and individuals to join hands in preserving and developing fisheries resources, protecting water resources and ecological environment.


This is the activity within the program of Vietnam Seafood Festival 2014 held in Phu Yen province and the 55th celebration of Vietnam traditional fishery (April 1st, 1959 – April 1st, 2014).
