Son Tinh district’s government has been urged by provincial people’s committee to prepare necessary formalities for the establishment of new administrative centre in 2014.
Accordingly, the district is to carry out two projects of building a main road running across the centre and establishing new administrative centre of district.
The two projects are estimated to cost a total of 300 billion VND.
Son Tinh district, locating in the north of Quang Ngai city, is home to VSIP project which is a leading FDI project in the province with total investment of about US $ 400 million, which includes a 600-hectare industrial park and a 520-hectare site for commercial and residential purposes.
It is expected to kick off FDI investment in the central province of Quang Ngai, and contribute to the local socio-economic development as well.
Besides, the district owns Tinh Phong industrial zone, one of three main industrial zones of Quang Ngai province. The site has so far lured over 40 projects mostly in field of manufacturing.
