On the morning of March 27th, Standing Deputy Secretary of Haiphong’s Party Committee cum Head of Haiphong National Assembly delegation Nguyen Thi Nghiamet with the delegation of Chinese Youth, led by Lou Mei, Secretary of the Youth League of Chinaon the occasion of their working visit to Haiphong in the framework of”Vietnam – China Youth Friendship Meeting” in 2014 in Vietnam.
Standing ViceSecretary Nguyen Thi Nghia expressed her pleasure to welcome Chinese Youth Delegation to Haiphong city, contributing to the positive and effective enhancement of the traditional friendship and solidarity between the two countries of Vietnam and China, the two Youth Unions in general and the Youth League of ChinaandHaiphong Youth Union in particular.
Focusing on some brief information about the situation of socio-economic development of the city, Standing Deputy Secretary voiced that Haiphong has many famous tourist centers along with full of different types of traffic vehicles, adding thatthe city is identified as the main gateway to the Sea of the Northern provinces, and in the “two corridors, one economic belt” cooperation between Vietnam and China.
As an engaging destination toinvestors, Haiphong has attracted many Chinese investors, helpingimprove the socio-economic efficiency of the locality. Vice Secretary added that the city’s youth together with theParty Committee, authority andpeople are making an effort to successfully implement the goal of building Haiphong into a green, advanced and modern port citywith a high level of competence before 2020. She affirmed that the city always facilitates the best for the involvement of youth force in socio- economic development. She also desired that the two countries will organize more exchange programs between the two parties’ youth force in order to strengthen cooperation relationship, solidarity and friendship between Vietnam – China in the time to come.
On behalf of the delegation of China Youth, Ms Lou Mei thankedfor the warm reception of city’ s leaders. She expressed her deep impression on Haiphong city, the unique culture as well as potentials of socio-economic development and told that union officials have fully inherited the spirit of China – Vietnam traditionalfriendship. Also, she expected theyouths of Vietnam – China in general and Haiphong in particular should together unite and joint in efforts to build the friendship cooperation affinity between the two sides, contributing to inheriting the traditional friendship relationship between Vietnam and China and obtaining fruitful results.
