PANO – Hanoi audiences were entertained with songs praising the Party, Uncle Ho, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and contributions of the Hanoi Capital to the resistance war for national independence at an artistic program, jointly organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN) on May 1st at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long.
The program, part of activities in the cycling tournament, “To Dien Bien Phu 2014 – the People’s Army Newspaper Cup” from May 1st to 6th, aimed to create a chance for present generations to learn more about the historic Dien Bien Phu victory, paying gratitude and acknowledging great contributions of the fallen, as well as people and troops who had devoted their youth and body parts to the resistance war for national independence and freedom in general, and the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in particular.
Divided into three parts, the program vividly recalled the hard but magnanimous time of the war, showing the determination of the whole Party, army and people to follow the path that the Party and Uncle Ho had selected.
