Drug trafficking right seized in HCMC

VGP – Police in Binh Thanh district, Ho chi Minh City announced on June 15 that they had uncovered a drug trafficking ring that were transporting 7.1 kilos of heroin from Hai Phong to Ho Chi Minh City.

They also seized 20,000 ecstasy pills and crystal meth from a 30 year-old man named Hoang, who said he received the heroin cakes from a woman in Hai Phong to transport them to Ho chi Minh City.



The man, Pham Van Hoang from northern Thai Binh province, was caught at the Mien Dong Bus Station when bringing the drugs from the northern city of Hai Phong to Ho Chi Minh City on June 9.


The woman, 48-year-old Hoang Thi Loan, was captured when she landed in Tan Son Nhat airport later the same day. A search of her home in Hai Phong on the night of June 9 exposed more drug.


Police officers arrested Hoang when he arrived in HCM City’s Eastern Bus Station. They also busted the woman named Loan at the Tan Son Nhat airport and raided her home in Hai Phong where they seized more drugs.
