Ensuring safety for int’l tourists in Viet Nam

(TITC) – In respond to bad effects caused by recent tensions, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam National Administration of Tourism have sent urgent dispatchs to provincial departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Vietnam Tourism Association, travel agencies, and hotels to ensure security, safety, and service quality for int’l tourists.



Accordingly, most of provinces and cities have deployed plans to timely support and meet tourists’ demands, typically Hai Phong, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan


Specifically, to ensure safety and security for tourists in summer 2014, the Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has set up an interdisciplinary inspection teamto check tourist transportation and rescue activities at beaches, ensuring environmental hygiene. Recently, the city has successfully held the 3rd Flamboyant Flower Festival, opened tourist sites in Cat Ba and Do Son… contributing to city’s potentials and image promotion and attracting more and more tourists to Hai Phong. During the summer holidays, the city also further strengthens propaganda and promote the image of tourism Hai Phong to become an attractive, friendly, civilized and safe destination for tourists.


In Da Nang city, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has asked relative units, tourism association, hotels, tour-guide club and travel agencies to enhance management activities aiming to guarantee security and safety for visitors.


Khanh Hoa province established a hotline and opened 2 tourist support booths at Cam Ranh airport and Nha Trang city centre for tourists to the city.
