​An amount of 100 billion VND (over US$ 4.7 million) has been approved for the Dung Quat – Sa Huynh seaside road project in the central province of Quang Ngai, a source from the Provincial People’s Committee said.
The capital will be spent on compensation and resettlement construction.
The two-stage project of Dung Quat – Sa Huynh is a key project of Quang Ngai province with a total approved capital of 3,790 trillion VND (over US $ 180 million) sourced from the Central Government bond.
The 12-m wide road will connect the seaside roads of the northern province of Quang Nam and the southern province of Binh Dinh to be an important seaside route in the central region of Vietnam.
It is belonged to the national planning of seaside route and is expected to kick off the development of society, economy, tourism; to ensure security, national defend; and to reduce the problem of traffic accidents.
The 99-km Dung Quat – Sa Huynh route will run through four seaside districts of Binh Son, Son Tinh, Tu Nghia, Mo Duc and Duc Pho where is home to the original area of Sa Huynh culture with hundred years old.
The first stage of construction worth 2,500 billion VND- approved to be five years from 2008-2015 – includes two sections: from Dung Quat Economic Zone to My Khe Beach and from My Khe Beach to the new bridge of Tra Khuc.
The second stage will be implemented in the period of between 2016 and 2020.
