The Hai Duong provincial People’s Committee has approved the project of establishing Tumor and Cardiovascular Centers under the provincial General Hospital.
The two centers will be set up on the basis of the hospital’s Tumor and Cardiovascular Wards.
Each center in the 2014 – 2015 period will have 70 sickbeds, the number of which will be increased from 2016.
The two centers have the functions of receiving, examining, and providing specialist treatment for patients with tumor and cardiovascular diseases in the province and neighboring areas; instructing training establishments and examination and treatment facilities at lower levels in training in tumor and cardiovascular professional knowledge and skills and techniques; and organizing prevention and control of tumor and cardiovascular diseases in the province.
The centers will also be assisted in professional knowledge and skills and techniques of cardiovascular hospitals at higher levels.
