Last week on June 21, Duc Pho district Labor Federation in collaboration with Quang Ngai provincial Labor Federation held an establishment ceremony of Pho Vinh commune Fishing Union.
Pho Vinh Fishing Union was established with 208 fishermen of 25 fishing vessels in Pho Vinh commune. This is the third fishing union in Duc Pho district.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the provincial Labor Federation Ngo Thi Kim Ngoc provided the Fishing Union with one ashore-communication equipment worth VND 265 million, 25 boats’ insurances and 208 insurances for fishing vessels’ members worth over VND 200 million, 20 scholarships for pupils worth VND 500,000 each.
The total support amount was VND 500 million.
So far, Quang Ngai has set up 08 fishing unions of 3,208 members.
