The management board of Dong Nai’s industrial zones has facilitated favorable conditions for us in registering for the investment license and receiving it. We decided to invest in Dong Nai due to its promising investment environment, good infrastructure, a well-operated environment in industrial zones, and in the future there will be an airport in the province.”

The investment project by the Pegasus-Shimamoto Auto Parts Vietnam is one of 37 newly licensed projects in Dong Nai over the past six months of 2014. Most of the projects are from Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Chinese Taiwan focusing on high-tech and auxiliary industry. Thanks to improved administrative procedures, it now takes maximum of 25 days to grant licenses for FDI projects investing in provincial industrial zones. Mai Van Nhon, Deputy Director of the management board of Dong Nai’s industrial zones, said the province is continuing to improve the infrastructure in industrial parks including the traffic system to create a better condition for enterprises. He added:

We must prove that investors have made the right choice when they pour money in the province. To this end, various synchronized measures should be implemented. The traffic system should link Dong Nai with Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring localities. Since the beginning of this year, we have continuously completed a number of roads allowing traffic through in these routes.

Dong Nai is famous for its authorities’ timely assistance to the business community. Jiang Zhi Ming, President of the Association of Taiwanese companies in Dong Nai, commented on the provincial assistance to foreign businesses affected by the early May riots incited by subversive elements. Jiang went on to say:

We’re satisfied with the way by Dong Nai leaders in helping us resolve the May incident so that we can quickly resume and stabilize production, especially in terms of customs and tax procedures.

To date, Dong Nai has about 1,430 FDI projects with a total registered capital of more than 25 billion USD. More particularly, many enterprises in operation in Dong Nai have increased investment capital for production with the average figure of 16 million USD for each project. Tran Minh Phuc, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said apart from increased personnel training, security and public order for businesses in industrial zones will be strengthened. Phuc explained the process:

We pay special attention to administrative reforms with top priority given to investment environment toward the one-door policy. We’ve been implementing the program and now continue it in districts. We’ll also continue organizing meetings to listen to enterprises’ opinions to have timely solutions to lift their obstacles.
