(VOV) – Vietnamese young tennis star Ly Hoang Nam leapt 300 places to 1,569th in the latest rankings of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) on July 21.
His progress is attributable to his earning ticket to the second round of the Thailand F9 Futures in Bangkok two weeks ago.
This is the highest position Nam has ever placed in the world rankings. His previous highest ranking was 1,718th place.
With the higher ATP ranking, Nam will have more advantages in registering for professional tournaments in the future.
