Since establishment, Ham Thuan Nam Rural Power Joint Stock Company (PC Ham Thuan Nam) has positively deployed solutions aiming to improve service quality; therefore it supplies stable electricity and fully satisfies customers’ demands for living and production.
PC Ham Thuan Nam has strived to build electric network in rural areas under the guideline “to bring stable electricity to people“. For now, about 99 percent of the people in the district are provided electricity with the price regulated by the Prime Minister.
PC Han Thuan Nam has made efforts in pushing up policy reform, adopting one-stop shop policy in installing new electrometer for customers more quickly and conveniently.
In order to improve electric efficiency, PC Ham Thuan Nam always pays attention to investing in building electricity grids and grid substations. In 1998, there were only 55 grid substations with overall capacity of 5,425.5 KVA and 132.4 km length, but at the end of 2013, the number rose to about 224 grid substations, with overall capacity of 13,567.5 KVA and 263.9 km in length in the district area. Till now, there are all the 13 communes of the district that possess national grid electricity.
Mr Hoang Trong Viet, Director of PC Ham Thuan Nam said that annually, PC Ham Thuan Nam spends significantly repairing and improving the low voltage grid; ensuring safe operation of electricity grid and satisfying technical requirement. Furthermore, for implementing successfully electric savings, the company has built solutions, encouraging economical use of electricity; and propagated these solutions to every commune to encourage people to use electricity economically and effectively.
