The Prime Minister has just decided to supplement VND 1,647,865 million to provinces and cities across the country to implement policies on protection and development of corn-land. The fund is taken from the economic expenditure of the central budget in 2014.
Accordingly, Quang Ngai province is allocated VND 14,538 million.
Based on the decision of the Prime Minister, Chairman of Quang Ngai PPC assigned Department of Finance in coordination with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Department of Planning and Investment to advise PPC to allocate the above said fund to relevant agencies to implement policies on protection and development of corn-land in the province in 2014.
Reportedly, the area of current paddy land covers 43,528 hectares. By 2010, the total area of the high-quality rice production is expected to be 15,000 hectares, concentrated in six plain districts of the province.
